Mr. Hofer conducts the Symphonic Band at Mustang High School and assists with the Nightrider Marching Band. In addition, Mr. Hofer assists with the instruction on 7th and 8th grade band at Mustang Middle School and teaches beginning 6th grade band classes at Horizon Intermediate. Under his direction, the high school Symphonic Band has received the OSSAA Sweepstakes award for the last five consecutive years. Prior to teaching in Mustang, Mr. Hofer served as the band director at Newcastle High School in Newcastle, Oklahoma, assistant band director at Blanchard High School in Blanchard, Oklahoma, and assistant band director at Goddard Junior High School in Midland, Texas. Mr. Hofer is a 2005 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music education. While attending OU, Mr. Hofer was an active member in the Mu Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. He was also a member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in 2000 and 2002. Mr. Hofer is a 1999 graduate of Putnam City High School. Mr. Hofer is a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and currently lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
